ECE Lyon International Office can help you book an appartment for the duration of your stay.

  1. Fill out the application form and be sure to tell us if you want to live on your own or in shared-accomodation. Your bank details (or your parents' bank details) will be needed to book your appartment.
  2. ECE will contact the Real-Estate agency and make the reservation for you.
  3. You will be requested to pay the deposit by the 30th of June (350 to 600 Euros depending on the appartment). We will send you the Agency Bank details.
  4. You will have to transfer the payment of your first month rent prior to August 15th. ECE will recieve the keys to your appartment.
  5. On September 1st, you will come to ECE-Lyon International Office to pick up your keys and sign your contract.
  6. Your rent will be due on the 1st of each month.

During the first week following your arrival, you will need to go to a bank and open a bank account in France, then you will give your account number to the Real-Estate to arrange for your rent  to be withdrawn automatically from your account each month.

You will also get the receipt of your first payment from the Real-Estate Agency- this will allow you to apply for the Government fundings  (APL) at the Caisse d'Allocations familiales (CAF). You will provide you bank details and have the fundings paid directly to your account (approximately 140 euros per month/per appartment).
